Popping up all over the network today is our first face at the teaser poster for Rob Zombie’s 2009 launch. The flick advertises itself as having a dub character that is 51% motherfucker and 49% son of a bitch. I don’t recall about you, but I dig those qualities in a shirtless rampaging asshole dealing out vengeance.
Which is why it comes as some eye-opener that this a unpractical comedy. Just fucking with you. There hasn’t been much solemn express on Tyrannosaurus- some hold it’s an reworking of the Zombie-Niles mirthful “The Nail” though apparently that might not true. Early indications seem to suggest that it’s nearly the same to the comic, but a suggestion different. We’re guessing that it will follow one badass son of a bungle who’s either out for vengeance, or justice, or just difficult to survive.
Odds are, he’ll rail some motorcycle demons from infernal regions or some other. Either way, I still have a lot of allegiance in Rob Zombie as a filmmaker. I imagine he learns and grows with each strain and from the seem of this poster, it’s fittingly in his wheelhouse.
